Our review of the Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana
We stayed at the Secrets Royal Beach Resort in Punta Cana June 29-July 6, 2019 and had the most enjoyable time. This was our first time at an adult only resort, and it was spectacular. When we arrived, we were brought to the Preferred Member lounge to check in, when we checked in we were surprised to hear that we were going to have a swim up room. We were welcomed with welcome drinks and the most friendly staff. We were brought over to the Seaside Gill for Lunch with the most breath-taking view of the ocean. The restaurant was such a quiet and beautiful atmosphere, not to mention the food was amazing! Benjamin one of the Butlers escorted us to our room and thoroughly went through everything in the room. He was so friendly, and you could tell he really enjoyed his job working at the Secrets Royal Beach. When we arrived at our room, there was a Happy Anniversary Banner on the door and a bottle of cold champagne and fruit, and it was perfect. The hotel was so clean, staff were working so hard daily to make the resort look its best for guest like us to enjoy. Housekeeping always left our room so clean and gorgeous and every night they turned our bed down for us with beautiful rose petals and Hershey Kisses on our pillows. Daily we had delicious food, we ate daily at the La Riviera buffet for Breakfast, Lunch we went to the Sea Side Grille, the Barefoot Grill or ate on the Beach when they were cooking on the beach. Dinner was always so amazing, we ate at Portofino, Seaside Gill, Himitsu, Capers, and Tamarindo. Food was great everywhere we ate. We found some great waitstaff at the restaurants who were really welcoming. At Himitsu we had Wilson who was our Hibachi chef and Izidiro was our waiter, they were amazing! Our show was fun, engaging and they made our dinner so fun with the rest of the people at our table. We met all the other people at our table who were so much fun too. If you have the chance to go to the Seaside Grill, you need to have Alejandro, Micaias and Evelyn as your waiters as they are so upbeat, friendly, and clearly enjoy their jobs. We went back several times to the Seaside Grill not just for the amazing food but for the great staff that we enjoyed seeing and talking with when we were there. Since we were preferred members, we got to use the preferred section of the beach, Elcie was our favorite beach server, she always had a smile and always remembered our drink orders! We had a lot of fun with Angel at the pool bar, he really knows how to interact with the guests! Our favorite bar tenders were Roberto, Candalaria, Jeffrey and Mama Juana, so friendly, and they know how to make any drink you want! Not only were the restaurants amazing but we had a great time with the Entertainment staff, Garfield, Sexy Chocolate and Juan were so great, went out of their way to make sure we had a great time! The team never stops, works hard and enjoys their jobs! We met so many wonderful staff and guests who were all truly so happy to either work at Secrets or who loved being guests at Secrets! We truly had the best vacation we have ever had, and would recommend Secrets Royal Beach to all, and we will most definitely be returning to this wonderful resort!
